Meet Teddy
(Therapy Dog)
Teddy is a warm, compassionate, and gentle soul who has completed his therapy dog training requirements through The Kennel Club. With his calm and friendly nature, Teddy brings comfort and support to those around him. He is fully trained to work in therapeutic settings, offering emotional reassurance and a non-judgmental presence for clients during sessions.
Teddy offers a sense of grounding and comfort that can help ease anxiety and promote a peaceful atmosphere. His dedication to his role as a therapy dog makes him an invaluable part of the team.
When he's not working, Teddy embraces his playful Sprocker nature - chasing after tennis balls, exploring the great outdoors, and going on long walks. After a busy day, you’ll often find him happily curled up for a rest, ready to recharge for the next day.
My Approach
Counselling and psychotherapy are umbrella terms for a range of talking therapies that provide a wide variety of psychological help. Psychological help and support is therapy for the mind...our emotional and mental health and wellbeing.
Therapists are trained in different approaches which provide us with different ways of working with clients.
I am an integrated counsellor using both person-centred theory and psychodynamic theory, which offers an insight into your past experiences and how these might be affecting you, as well as valuing you as the expert in your own life with the capacity and desire to change and grow.
My integrated therapeutic approach recognises all people and their experiences are unique. It is non-directive, and self-paced by you, allowing the therapy to be flexible and inline with your specific needs.
I am a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and work in accordance with their ethical framework.
